    Frequently Asked Questions

      1.  What is a Consignor?

      A consignor is someone that utilizes the opportunity of selling their gently-used kids items at a consignment event. The consignor keeps 65% -80% profit (depending upon volunteer hours) on the items they price and they tag. You are paid your profit at Pick-Up, or it can be mailed to you. There is a $5 "base" Consignor Fee per sale. Refer to the Consignor Agreements for more info.

      2.  What is "Drop-off" and "Pick-up?"

      "Drop-off" refers to the day/time you schedule (using the automated system) to bring your merchandise to sell. During this time a volunteer will spot check your items for stains, etc and you will put them on the sales floor. "Pick-up" refers to the previously determined day/time to pick-up any unsold merchandise. If you so choose, these items can also be donated to local charities.

      3. What items can I sell?

      Almost anything related to children! Everything must be in good condition, free of any stains, discoloration, rips, tears, missing pieces/parts/buttons, etc.

      4.  How do I price my items?

      However you want! YOU keep complete control over how you sell your items. Please refer to "Pricing Suggestions" for assistance. Always ask yourself, "Would I pay that much for this item in this condition?"

      5.  How do I tag my items?

      First organize all clothing by size & gender. (This makes tagging go really fast!)  Using our automated online system, enter all pertinent info (descriptions are important!). Check the "discount" box if you want the item printed with a large red dot and therefore to be marked 50% off the last day of the sale. Check the "donate" box if you do not want it back if it doesn't sell. Enter category, size, gender, price, description, etc.

      Purchase WHITE CARDSTOCK PAPER from Wal-Mart, etc to print your tags. With printer on the LIGHTEST print setting, print your tags. Six tags will print per page. Remember to print in color if you chose to discount any items. (Forgot? Just take a red pin and fill in the black dot that printed.) Cut your tags apart and affix them to the item with a safety pin or tagging barb. (Purchase a tagging gun & barbs for $6.50 by clicking here. Allow 10-12 days for delivery.)

      6.  Can I consign at more than one Three Bags Full sale?

      Yes! You will be able to "transfer your inventory" to the next sale. You will NOT need to re-enter the information, however if you have different consignor numbers for each sale, you will need to REPRINT the tags and put the newly printed tag on the item.  Refer to the Consignor Library for more information.

      7.  How do I shop early and earn more than 65%?

      Volunteer! Schedule your time(s) online and save on your Consignor Fee, shop before non-volunteering Consignors and earn a greater percentage on your items. Best of all, it is FUN to be at the sale with other moms!

      8.  How do I earn the $10 Gift Certificate? 

      Tell your friends about consigning with Three Bags Full. When they come at drop-off if they put YOUR name down as the referral, YOU get $10!! Ten bucks goes a long way at this sale.

      9.  How do I get my un-sold items back?

      At Three Bags Full you can choose to donate your un-sold items to local children's charities, or you can come during designated "Pick-Up" hours to retrieve your items. Your items will be sorted according to the Consignor Agreement (but often sorted into individiual bags to make it even easier!)

      10. What will PreSale night be like?

      COME EARLY. Or, better yet, VOLUNTEER and avoid lines alltogether!  By volunteering you will enter Pre-Sale night at graduated intervals BEFORE consignors that do not volunteer. Bring a laundry hamper, push cart, etc with you to help carry your goodies. As a consignor you may bring your spouse or parent with you. You will receive ONE pass at drop-off to give to a friend. (Barter it for babysitting during your volunteer shift!) We accept cash, local checks with ID, MasterCard and Visa. Plan on finding LOTS of great bargains!!!! Don't forget to read our Shopping Tips!
